Terms and conditions
The Client (you) hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is correct, current and complete.
The purpose of Chef to Home is to deliver contract cooking services at home or within a business for:
- an individual
- group of individuals
- private clients
- professional clients
Chef to Home (cheftohome.co.uk) offers Clients a non-exhaustive range of services, which can be booked and paid online.
Contract
By purchasing any service or product from Chef to Home, you agree to accept the following terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions constitute the terms of the legally binding contract (“the Contract”) between you, the Client and Chef to Home (the Company).
Payments
Advanced bookings can be paid in two parts. 20% of the final price as a deposit to secure the date of the event and 80% no later than 7 days before the event.
The booking will be secured by a deposit payment. If you cannot pay via BACS, then Chef to Home can process your payment online. If you pay online a 5% percent booking fee will be added to the final bill. Chef to Home cannot take provisional bookings for events, and is unable to confirm your booking until the deposit payment is received and the final balance has been settled no later than one week before the event date.
The Client acknowledges that the payment of the event does not constitute acceptance of a firm offer. The conclusion of the event is subject to confirmation by Chef to Home, even if the latter is obliged to accept the reservation. Except in case of vis major or in case of presumption by the private chef of the existence of a risk with regard to its security following the first telephone contact.
Ownership in goods and materials sold subject to these terms and conditions shall not be passed to the Client until such time as all sums of money owing by the Client to Chef to Home shall have been paid.
Any gift card or voucher has a duration of use limited to 6 months, whether this is mentioned on the card/voucher or not.
The gift card is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. In the event of cancellation of a service reserved with a gift card more than 7 calendar days before the date of the service, the beneficiary will have the possibility to plan a new service subject to availability.
If a service is reserved with a gift card, and cancelled less than 7 calendar days before the due date, the gift card will be cancelled, without the possibility of claim by the beneficiary.
The value of the gift card cannot be exchanged for cash, it is not refundable and cannot be used to settle payments for events that we already priced up in an offer.
Confidentiality
All teachings and cooking materials are considered to be intellectual property of Eniko Fejer. As such you acknowledge and agree that the content, information, materials and comments on the website, social media profiles and the event remain confidential to Eniko Fejer.
Privacy policy
The information about you is only available to Chef to Home. We keep your personal information to update you on:
- cookery classes
- developments
- special offers
- news
- events
I guarantee your details are not sold nor passed on for commercial purposes.
Upon request, your name and details will be removed from Chef to Home’s databases.
Your email address will be subscribed to our email list unless you advise otherwise.
You can easily unsubscribe from all Chef to Home emails and newsletters.
In the event of Chef to Home being found to have breached this privacy policy, it will undertake to remedy the breach.

The booking fee is non-refundable.
Please note -in some instances (subject to the availability of the private chef, but this is not guaranteed) Chef to Home may be able to change the date if:
- the time
- menu
- number of people remain the same
You may wish to consider taking out suitable insurance to cover cancellations beyond your control.
Cancellation by Chef to Home- we will undertake to provide you with a suitable event/voucher as soon as reasonably possible. We will issue full refund (apart from the booking fee) if a new date for the event doesn't work or the voucher is not suitable.
You request a change of date at least 10 days before the event-Chef To Home will endeavour to meet your new requirements. There is a £20 administration charge for this change.
In the event of cancellation by the private chef due to risk concerning her security following her travel to the Client’s home or event address, the amounts due in respect of the Service shall not be returned to the Client. It is up to the private dinner chef to justify the existence of this risk.
No request for reimbursement can be taken into account after the expiration of 5 calendar days after the performance of the service.
Disputes
A claim that the services are not in accordance with the Contract will not be accepted by Chef to Home, unless written notice is given to the Company within five days of the provision of the services, stating the grounds of the claim and enclosing any supporting evidence.
While Chef to Home makes every effort to prepare food to your personal tastes, the Company and Eniko Fejer cannot be held responsible of any goods that are not to your liking and such goods cannot be returned, swapped for alternative dishes or costs refunded. Chef to Home makes no warranties to the accuracy of taste and cannot be held responsible for flavour of fresh ingredients or any subsequent cooked food.
Dietary requirements plus allergies, intolerances, special conditions or illnesses
Chef to Home does try and accommodate allergies and food preferences as far as possible. Chef to Home does not come from a nut-free environment, and cannot guarantee that upon allergies/food preferences, cross-contamination will not occur.
Please note that whilst we minimise the risk of cross-contamination, we handle allergenic ingredients throughout our kitchen and cannot guarantee any allergen-free dishes as they may contain the allergens.
It is the responsibility of the Client to inform Chef to Home of any diagnosed allergies, intolerances, special conditions or illness. It is the Client’s responsibility to inform the private chef where their medication/auto-injector is, on the day of the event. Chef to Home cannot be held responsible if you do not inform the Company in writing or the private chef of any allergies, intolerances, special conditions or illness.
Liability
All recipes, tutorials and photos on the website, in the newsletters, on Facebook and Instagram social media profiles are the intellectual property of Eniko Fejer.
Any commercial or non-commercial use of images, texts, icons, drawings, graphics, photographs, programs and other components of cheftohome.co.uk is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of Eniko Fejer.
Any:
- use
- reproduction
- representation
- use of the elements that compose
cheftohome.co.uk, in whole or in part on any medium whatsoever, for other purposes, and in particular commercial purposes, is not authorised.
Chef to Home agrees to be responsible, so far as reasonably practical, for the health and safety of equipment and ingredients used on the events.
Chef to Home will not be responsible for, or have any liability to you for, accidental damage or injury arising during events in your home, or resulting from the actions or omissions of anyone attending the event.
Chef to Home will be responsible for damage directly caused by Chef to Home, if notified at the time.
You must not leave any items of special value in the same room where the event will take place and where Chef to Home’s staff have access to the property. Chef to Home will not accept responsibility for the loss of any personal possessions.
Chef to Home is not liable for any loss suffered by you, which is indirect, special or consequential.
Chef to Home is not liable for any loss suffered by you resulting from any event, which is beyond the reasonable control of Chef to Home.
When selling alcohol, anyone who looks under the age of 25 will be asked for identification to prove they are over 18 years of age.
Chef to Home will source high-quality food and buy the ingredients for your event. Sourcing and purchasing the products are included in the price you pay for your chosen menu. You have the option to customise the menu, or request more expensive products such as: scallops, langoustines, fresh truffle, aged T-bone steak, fillet steak, monkfish, caviar to name a few alternatives. Bespoke menus will have additional costs. After the final menu is discussed a confirmation e-mail will be sent out to you with the invoice. The invoice needs to be paid no later than 7 days before the event. You acknowledge that you are over 18 years of age and accept the price of the ordered goods and the cost of shopping.
If a product is not available on the market for the previously discussed menu you will be notified as soon as possible. Changes will be made with your consent.
You must have at least a minimum level of equipment in your kitchen. Chef to Home will check what equipment you have on booking and discuss any potential issues.
Your responsibilities to the chef
Before the chef’s arrival, your kitchen should be clean and tidy with clear work surface. The general waste bin and sink should be empty. On arrival, you must show the chef how your kitchen equipment works, including turning on any electrical appliances. You should show the chef what equipment may be used for the dinner party, including:
- pots
- pans
- electrical equipment
- crockery
- cutlery
- glassware
removing it from high cupboards. Any faulty equipment should be removed from the kitchen prior to the dinner party.
Keep dogs and young children out of the kitchen or the area we work for the full duration of our stay on the venue. Having them around us is a safety hazard and we cannot take responsibility for any accidents caused by them being under our feet and dogs being curious.
Chef to Home will not tolerate any violent, threatening behaviour, physical aggression or verbal abuse to any of its staff or representatives. If this happens, the team will vacate the property immediately and the booking will not continue. No refund will be issued and legal proceedings will be issued against you.
Location
Chef to Home covers the majority of Norfolk (UK). Places further than that may incur a fee for travel and accommodation.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
