Private chef FAQs | Chef to Home by Eniko Fejer

Chef to Home offers private chef services in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and beyond. Whether you are planning a dinner party, family celebration, retreat or business event, these frequently asked questions explain how the service works, what is included and how to book.

~

What is a private chef service?

A private chef service brings a professional chef to your home or chosen venue. We plan, prepare and serve your meal, then clean up afterwards.
This means you can enjoy the occasion with your guests without needing to cook, serve or clean up yourself.

~

Is hiring a private chef worth it?

For many people, yes. A private chef gives you the experience of a special meal in the comfort of your own home or venue.

You do not need to plan the menu, shop for ingredients, cook, serve or clean afterwards. It can also save you time and reduce the stress of hosting.

Eniko’s cooking style is modern British with contemporary European influences.

Sample menus are available, but menus can also be tailored to your tastes and the occasion. Options can include Italian-inspired dishes, Indian flavours, Asian-inspired menus, barbecue events, brunches and canapé receptions.

~

Can you cater for dietary requirements and allergies?

Yes. We can cater for many dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, as well as some food allergies.

Please tell us about any dietary needs when you enquire so the menu can be planned as safely as possible.

Chef to Home tries to reduce the risk of cross-contamination, but ingredients such as nuts, dairy, gluten or other allergens may still be handled in the kitchen where we are preparing the food. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we may not be able to guarantee that a dish is completely free of a particular allergen. The terms of service say this clearly.

~

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 8 to 10 weeks in advance, especially for weekends.

Popular periods such as bank holidays and school term weekends can book quickly. At those times, 3 to 6 months’ notice is recommended where possible.

However, last-minute enquiries are still welcome, and we will help if availability allows.
