Intimate Dining

‘Intimate’ means being close.

As a private chef I get to cook really close to the guests. Being on show is a constant reoccurrence. Dining at the chef’s table by booking a private chef and a suitable venue is no longer an unreachable goal.

But how do I do it?

I overtake the kitchen for the evening, I set the table, I cook, I serve the dishes, I explain them and will give as much space and privacy as the guests need. I am happy to engage in chats and foodie discussions, even with younger kids, but I will not force it. I let the guests take the lead. I pay attention though and if over a long dinner the conversation stops, I discretely step in for a general chat to help the conversation flow.

Here is some feedback from my previous guests on the topic:

“We were worried about the open plan kitchen / dining room and whether it would be a tad too intimate but Eniko did a really good job at chatting to us about the menu but also leaving us to it when we were eating.”

“What a fabulous lady! Eniko's service is masterful in every regard - the amount of detail she put into creating the loveliest evening made the night all the more special…”

“Impeccable in every regard. I cannot wait to book Chef to Home again. It is a real treat.”

“Eniko had a wonderful aura about her and created a calm, relaxed atmosphere!”

“She wasn't intrusive at all but was happy to answer any questions we had.”

“Eniko's attention to detail and undivided service during the evening was outstanding.”

“Eniko's delicious extras, attention to detail, professionalism and friendliness made the whole experience magical for us…”

“…it was just like having a Michelin star tasting menu at home.”
